Sapphire Platforms Foundation is the social-impact arm of Sapphire Platforms Limited, focused on supporting women, girls, children, and vulnerable communities through scholarships, funded empowerment projects, disaster relief, and humanitarian support.

The Foundation provides funding and support to selected specialist foundations and organisations, such as Skills Outside School Foundation, to execute empowerment and skills-development projects because of their experience in those areas. The Foundation also supports science, engineering, and infrastructure-focused initiatives connected to relevant institutions such as NASENI — National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure.

Foundation Focus Areas

  • Educate: Scholarships, girl-child education, school support, and learning opportunities.
  • Empower: Funding specialist organisations to execute women and girls empowerment projects in skills development, finance, engineering, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
  • Emergency Response & Relieve: Disaster response, emergency aid, food, hygiene, and relief support for affected families.
  • Restore: Support for women, children, and vulnerable communities recovering from distress, crisis, flooding, or hardship.

September 2024 — Maiduguri Flood Response

In September 2024, Sapphire Platforms Foundation responded to the Maiduguri flood crisis by distributing essential relief materials to over 2,000 individuals across Galtimari, Shehuri North, and Gwange. The intervention supported immediate needs, improved living conditions, and provided relief to families affected by flooding demonstrating our commitment to action, not just aspiration.
